Vocational Education and Training (VET) provides students with applied skills and knowledge so they can contribute to the national workforce. VET accredited courses and qualifications help students to get qualified for a new career, return or enter the workforce, upskill current qualifications or enter university.

Skill Sets and Micro Credentials is a grouping of one or more units of competency selected from  qualifications. They are designed to meet an employer’s or learner’s specific needs and they aim to develop targeted skills and knowledge. Skill Sets and Micro Credentials do not usually take as long to complete as does a full qualification, they are more flexible and can focus on areas of industry best practice.
